I&#8217;m going stir crazy; all of my friends are out getting drunk and I want to be with them&#8230; It&#8217;s not that I never get drunk&#8230; but I want to be able to casually pop down the pup, or to a club at 1 in the morning, or to Tesco for a bottle of shitty wine <strong>if</strong> I should feel like it. I&#8217;m not saying I even will, I just want the option; I feel so trapped and option-less.</p> <p>On the plus side, I&#8217;ve decided to use this month of emptiness and fill it with <strong>non</strong>-emptiness and to get my life back on track before my birthday. This includes:</p> <ul><li>Working</li> <li>Getting a promotion</li> <li>Becoming healthy again</li> <li>Educating myself on current affairs and the economic climate</li> <li>And not looking shit.</li> </ul><p>After having chickenpox, I&#8217;ve kind of forgotten what it is like to have responsibilities and things to do with my day. But its back to work for me; and I&#8217;ve decided to try and work every day until by birthday; both because I have nothing<strong> else</strong> to do, and because I actually quite enjoy work when I&#8217;m not having to juggle it around school. I&#8217;ve finally handed in my application to become a crew trainer (instead of just being a crew member) and the boss has effectively said that the &#8216;interview&#8217; I will need to have is just a formality; so long as I don&#8217;t say something stupid, I&#8217;m on the way to a pay rise. WOO. </p> <p>Around work, I&#8217;m going back to the gym; so that by the time I&#8217;m old enough to go out and party with strangers, I&#8217;ll look good while I&#8217;m doing it (again&#8230; WOO!). I&#8217;m genuinely excited about going back to the gym, it feels like a second home I just haven&#8217;t visited in a while: and I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ll get back into the swing of things soon enough. I&#8217;ve never had that much trouble exercising; In fact I find it pretty stress relieving and exhilarating so it won&#8217;t be an issue besides fitting it in around work.</p> <p>Something I&#8217;ve been doing over the last few days, which I&#8217;m surprised I&#8217;ve enjoyed,  is reading the news. Between BBC news online, and these amazing new 20p &#8216;i Newspapers&#8217; I&#8217;ve discovered, I am aware of what is happening in the world. This can&#8217;t be a bad thing seeing as I&#8217;m meant to be studying Economics at university in September.</p> <p>And lastly, now I don&#8217;t have school <strong>and</strong> work, I can put a bit of effort into my appearance and attempt to not look like shit every time I leave the house.
